ANALISIS KORELASI DAN PENGARUH DIMENSI BELIEF IN A JUST WORLD TERHADAP PUBLIC SERVICE MOTIVATION

Abstract

Banyak penelitian terdahulu yang menemukan bahwa kinerja pegawai dapat dipengaruhi oleh motivasi dari pegawai. Salah satu motivasi intrinsik yang dipercaya memiliki pengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawaai adalah motivasi pelayanan publik atau public service motivation.  Objektif dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan dan pengaruh belief in a just world terhadap public service motivation pada PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil) di Jakarta. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan kaidah kuantitatif dan juga kepustakaan sebagai alat analisis. Responden dalam kajian ini sebanyak 951 PNS yang berasal dari 3 instansi dengan pendapatan tertinggi di Jakarta, yaitu Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta, Direktorat Jenderal Pajak dan Direktorat Jenderal Imigrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dimensi belief in a just world memiliki hubungan dan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap tingkat public service motivation, selain itu dimensi ini cocok diterapkan sebagai dimensi tambahan dari dimensi public service motivation dari Perry dan Wise (1990) untuk mengukur tahap public service motivation pegawai di Indonesia.
