EVALUATION OF EFFECTIVENESS AND CHALLENGES OF E-VISA WEBSITE IMPLEMENTATION IN SERVICE MODERNIZATION IN THE ERA OF GLOBAL MOBILITY

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the MOLINA e-Visa website at the Immigration Office Class I ICP Denpasar as a manifestation of digital transformation in Indonesian immigration services. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this research aims to analyze the effectiveness and challenges in implementing the e-Visa system, which is part of public service modernization. This platform serves as a comprehensive solution in immigration service management, with architecture specifically designed to optimize user experience. Research findings indicate that the e-Visa implementation has positively contributed to improving procedural efficiency and service accessibility, particularly in the context of Bali's tourism sector recovery post-pandemic. However, there are several significant challenges that need to be addressed, including limited socialization, technical constraints in account verification, and the incomplete integration of several supporting services. This research also identifies system security vulnerabilities, as evidenced in document forgery cases in Semarang, highlighting the need for strengthened layered security systems. These findings provide important contributions to the development of policies and practices in managing digital immigration systems in Indonesia.
